Peer Leadership
The DMS Peer Leadership Thanksgiving Food drive under the advisement of Lisa Nallan was an incredible success thanks to the generosity of our teachers, students, staff and families. Through our collective efforts, 16 Dawnwood families were provided complete thanksgiving meals including a turkey for each family. Peer leaders dedicated their time organizing, sorting, packing and decorating each box for the families to enjoy including a handmade thanksgiving card from our school. This school-wide effort highlighted the power of kindness, leadership and community and made a meaningful difference to our families during this season of gratitude.
November Students of the Month
Students of the Month are nominated by teachers for consistently making positive choices, maintaining good grades, completing homework on time, helping classmates and staff members, demonstrating improvement in class, and overall being a kind and dependable student. Each month, all recipients are invited to a pizza party after school with Mrs. Dellapina-Landes, where they will receive certificates and prizes. DMS takes pride in celebrating these outstanding students and their achievements.
